When taking the image I wanted to make sure that I included the whole plant so that there was more in the image for the viewer. The image is facing on and in the direction, as the flower ends as well as taking the picture landscape so the photo looks more generic as it doesn't look as professional taking a photo with a banked angle. The Flowers are at the centre of the photo as they are the subject for the photo which is why the front flowers are in focus and are why they take up the vast majority of the frame.
The Subject of the photo is taking up almost all of the area of the view of the camera and there for taking all thirds of the view due to the photo being a close-up. The Foreground contains The group of flowers in a small flower pot whilst the background contains a flower patch with other vegetation in it. The shot is a close up 180-degree landscape angle with the plants appearing bigger than reality.
The shutter speed was high so that I was able to take the photo handheld and so I could have minimal blurriness .The aperture is lower and more precise and give a fair small depth of field which is half intentional and high bad focusing. When adjusting the aperture I wanted the front flowers to be in focus to almost highlight them as being the subject.
The exposure of the photos were manually set higher so the image would be easier to see due the bad natural lighting at the time of this photo. The focus was manually set so that I was in control of the resulting photo of the plant. The focal length for this photo is short due to the aperture being low and the focus being nearest flowers.
I used a custom telescopic lens that was externally bought from the camera for close up pictures. No artificial light was used during this photo on natural lighting and a increase in contrast.

The image mainly contains the plant as that was the subject that was trying to capture in the process of the image. The photo was taken face on as when looking at a flower that area will be the main area of interest.
The rule of thirds with this photo is the flower takes up the central and upper thirds of the image/camera view as I wanted the flower to be fairly central to in the frame. The Foreground contains the whole of the semi dying flower whilst the background of the image contains the rest of the flower as well as other vegetation in the frame from other plants. The perspective of the photo is close up but not to close that you can see the whole flower in a fairly wide view.
The aperture was taken at a mid value with the depth of feel only really containing the front of the flower and leaving out the other plants behind the flower. The shutter speed had to be fast as this was taken hand held and required maximum focus. The Exposure was manually set fairly high to lighten the picture due to poor natural lighting. The Focus was manually set for a better quality and due to the exposure and aperture being manually as well.

The image is mainly capturing the flower bead and a few areas next the flower area. The subject of the photo is taking up the most of the photo which is as intended. The subject of the photo is taking up around 2 thirds of the rule of thirds of the camera view which is due to the flower bed being the subject.
The Subject takes up almost all of the section apart from the top left and right spaces. The main areas of the photo are in the foreground and some areas in the background due to the flower bed being lengthy and covering the length of the photo. The photo was taken at a mid/low shot to get on the same levels of the flowers and to get a better photo and allowing the audience to see a large proportion of the flower bed.
The aperture are taken at a low value as shown in the photo as the photo is darker and area of focus is directed to the middle of the flower bed. The shutter speed was slow due to the camera be stabilised during the photo. The Exposure was manually set low for added effect. This effect doesn't blur the image and isn't sacrificing any of the focus.
I used a Stock lens that came with the DSLR and there was no artificial lighting used in the shoot all of the light was natural.

The Frame contains a upward facing shot up a tree trunk showing the barren branches at the top, and the main focus is on the middle area of the tree (i.e. the trunk and the branches). The Trunk and the branches take up practically all of the area of the cameras view so I this photo the subject takes up all of the thirds.
The foreground contains the lower area of the trunk and other branches coming out of the trunk whilst the background contains more branches at the top of the tree. The image has been taken at a canted angle and a vertical angle to capture the entire central section of the tree.
The Image was taken at a mid range aperture which is shown by the focus in the middle of the tree, showing that the depth of field is a quite a small section. The shutter speed was high due to the picture being a hand held shot. The exposure as well as the focus were manually set, to gain as much light as possible and overall bringing detail to the tree. The Focus length was fairly shot due the aperture being low. |

The main focus of the image is the upper branches of the tree. The frame of the image is to capture a main chunk of the tree branches whilst also adding some sky to give the picture and better depth of field and to show what area of the tree it is. The Branches take up all section of the camera view apart from the top right section where the subject isn't in view. In the foreground is the main section of the branches whilst in the background is the clear sky which is not of the area of interest. The image has been taken at a canted vertical angle to contain all of the branches as seen and the vertical shot as same as the last one to allow the cluster of branches in one frame.
The photo was taken at a higher aperture to allow more depth in the photo than compared to the other photos to allow the audience to get a clearer picture and have more focused areas to look at. The shutter speed was set fast due to the photo being a handheld shot. The focus was manually set, as well as the exposure so that I was able to make the image clear and visible.
I used a custom lens that was externally bought from the camera for close up pictures. No artificial light was used during this photo on natural lighting and a increase in contrast.

The main focus of the images is the stack of logs and the formation of them. The subject if the photo takes up all of the frame as I clearly the most visible part of the image. The Logs take up all sections of the screen and there isn't a section of the camera view that doesn't contain the subject. In the foreground is the stack of weathered logs whilst the background is non existant due to there being no other content apart from the logs in the shot. The image was taken at a low shot due to the logs being stacked low to the floor. The shot was also taken at a slightly canted angle to make the image look more straight.
The image was at a high aperture to allow the depth of field to cover the entire front face of the logs and also allow the image to be clear and focused. The shutter speed was set slow to allow the photo to be more detailed and focused. This slow shutter speed was made possible by using a local object as a stabilising tool. the Focus and exposure were manually set to allow me to judge the quality of the image and the final result.
I used a custom lens that was externally bought from the camera for close up pictures. No artificial light was used during this photo on natural lighting and a increase in contrast.

The Main focus for the image is the Sprouting flower from a tree. The frame contains a small branch with flowers sprouting off of it. This part of the image is the most clear and most visible part of the image. The Subject of the photo takes up the middle section and upper right and left sections as the subject bends in the middle therefore creating a U-shape. In the foreground is clearly shown the plant whilst in the background is other foliage and shrubbery but hard to tell as the depth of field is so short. The image was taken at a mid/ high angle as the branch was fairly high of of the ground and required me stretch to receive the shot shown.
The image was taken at a low aperture to capture the focus of the plant itself and try to block out any background foliage and also to include the entire pant as well. The shutter speed was fast due to the photo being taken in a hand held position. the exposure and focus was manually set to allow me to alter the built in effects and get the best photo out of it.
I used a custom lens that was externally bought from the camera for close up pictures. No artificial light was used during this photo on natural lighting and a increase in contrast.

The main focus for this image is the yellow flower head. the frame contains a small flower pot with some stems just starting to grow with one having a bright yellow flower head, which is the most visible aspect of the photo and is the main subject of the picture. The flower head takes up one section of the rule of thirds and of the cameras view finder ( the central third ). The main flower head is in the foreground whilst the background contains the flower pot, a wall and the soil that is containing the flower. The image was taken at a mid angle as i didn't want to get a Ariel shot or a lower shot as the shot would be harder to get a good photo out of it.
The aperture was taken at a lower value so that the camera could focus mainly on the flower head and not the area around it. The shutter speed was set faster due to the shot being a handheld one and required the shutter speed for the focus on the plant. The expose and focus where automatically set as the camera was set in auto focus for this picture.
I used a Stock lens that came with the DSLR and there was no artificial lighting used in the shoot all of the light was natural. |

The Main focus for this picture is the chicken. The subject for this image is taking up the central thirds of the camera view and leaving the top and bottom, left and right areas. The main area of the photo is the fore ground ( containing the chicken ) while the background is a tree line as well as a grassy field. The image was taken at a low angle as I needed to be on the chickens height to get a decent photo.
The Focus and exposure for the image was automatic as the chicken was moving and there wouldn't have been enough time for me to set it up manually. The shutter speed was fast due to the subject moving which meant that I had to take a quick focused photo and also the photo was taken handheld.
I used a custom lens that was externally bought from the camera for close up pictures. No artificial light was used during this photo on natural lighting and a increase in contrast.

The main focus of the image was the old disused chimney. The subject for this photo takes up the central thirds of the cameras view. The foreground contains the disused chimney whilst the Background contains a small tree line as well as a overcast sky. The photo was taken at a high angle so that i was able to capture the chimney as it was located over a wall.
The Focus and exposure were automatically set as the photo was taken at a difficult angle to adjust them. The shutter speed was set fast as the photo was handheld meaning that the photo would be blur if it wasn't..
